I havent heard from him since he telephoned.

短語hear of也有聽說的意思，那么和hear about的區別在哪里呢？請看下面兩個例子：
Have you heard about the accident?
你聽說那場事故了嗎？
I havent heard of her for a long time.
我好久沒有她的消息了。
也就是說，hear about后常接事件之類的名詞，而hear of后則常接人或事物。
2．Amazing
在西方人的口中，表示驚訝，經常可以聽到amazing這個詞。如果有些事情發生得出乎意料，難以置信，就可以用amazing來形容。比如：
It was amazing that the boy was able to solve the problem so quickly.
